Course Overview

Our Nurse Aide Program consists of 4 weeks/100 hours of comprehensive nurse aide training which includes basic nursing concepts training in a classroom, skill lab and clinical setting at a local nursing home. This is an accelerated course and requires dedication to studying at minimal 2 hours daily. Students will cover basic nursing care, vital signs, acute/chronic illness, mental healthcare, restorative care, medical abbreviations, medical math, anatomy and physiology. CNAPA believes our students should be knowledgeable about organ systems in the human body and disease pathology, which allows the student to provide the highest quality nursing care to residents who need help performing activity daily living (ADL).

Upon successful completion of the program, students are eligible to take the South Carolina nurse aide registry exam. CNAPA is an approved program by the Department of Health and Human Services and affiliated with South Carolina Commission of Higher Education (SCCEH). Our program is also an approved in-facility/regional testing site. Students will be able to take the state exam at the school 12-15 days after course completion.
