BLS Healthcare Provider Course/CPR/AED

Basic Life Support healthcare provider course for adult, child and infant is taught using the most current American Heart Association (AHA) 2015 guidelines for healthcare providers and emergency personnel. Qualifications are good for two years. Most hospital require CPR/AED certification prior to hire. Seating is limited to 6 students per class.

Medication Aide Training Course (2018)
This 8-hour medication administration training course is designed to introduce non- licensed personnel to the basic pharmacological practices necessary to administer medication accurately and safely. CNAPA’s educational objective for this course is to provide the students with relevant and practical information that can be implemented into the daily routine of medication practices. Students will learn that safe and accurate drug administration requires proficiency with administration technique and assessment skills, knowledge of the drugs, and implementation of facility policies and procedures. This is a CEU course.

1.5-hour Refresher Course ($100.00)
This session will offer a 70 questions nurse aide exam and review 23 South Carolina nurse aide skills. Requirements for this course is a student must be a former student of CNAPA with minimum of 100 hours training. No clinical will be provided with this course.

To registry for this program the applicant must meet the following requirements:

1.  Must have completed CNAPA nurse aide training program of at least 100 hours.
2.  Must be able to provide original copy of graduation, number of hours completed to include clinical hours and graduation date or official letter signed by Program Director is acceptable to validate information.
3.  If your nurse aide certification has lapsed on the registry and it has not been expired for more than twenty-four (24) months. You are eligible to take refresher course.
4.  If your nurse aide certification lapsed more than two years ago, you must retrain at a 100-hour state approved nurse aide training program and retest.
5.  Students will take exams and practice required skills with this course.
6.  SC Nurse Aide registry exam not included in tuition cost.
